CARTERTON.
The local Gun Club fired a trophy match yesterday afternoon for a set of carvers. presented by the W.F.C.A. Messrs Warrington Bros, tied for first place, and in the shoot off, Mr John Warrington won. Some sweepstakes were afterwards fired. The health of Mr Frank Parker, of Belvedere, is at present causing his friends some anxiety. The local Tradesmen's Association has decided to close at noon on Thursday next; the occasion of the Taratalii-Carterton races.
