MR D. CASELBERG'S TROPHY. There was a large attendance of the public in the Masterton Park last evening, when the Wairavapa Amateur Athletic Club ran three heats in the first distance (100 yards) for Mr D. Caselberg's trophy. The results were as follow: First Heat. R.. McKenzie, 2yds and J. Uerrv, scr. (Dead heat) ... 1 W. Bannister, 4yds ... 2 Time, 10 2-ssec. Second Heat. 11. Messenger, 9yds ... 1 G. Scrimgeour, 11yds ... 2 P. Winter, syds - ... 3 Time, lOsecs. Third Heat. J. Bradbury, Byds ... 1 T. Hall, 10yds ... 2 Langdon, Langdon, 10yds ... 3 Time, 10 2-5 sec. Heats for 220 yds race, the second distance for the above trophy, will be run on Thursday evening next, at 6 o'clock.
