Notice lias been given by Mr Lang to move important amendments to the Land Hill. Me will move in. the section dealing with the acquisition of l,io fee-simple that the purchase price shall he the original value of the land, meaning .thereby the value on which the rent reserved by the lease was computed, "plus the ralue of the one per centum per annum difference in rent between the lease-in-perpctuity and oceupation-with-right-of'-purehase systems for the period dating from the issue of the lease until the completion of the nurehaso." '

MY Lang has also given notice to amend the clause providing for the compulsory asquisition. of settlement lands by way of lease so as to take away the compulsory power and only enable land to be acquired by agreement with the owner.
