AN OFFER DECLINED. J (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., I ast Night. At a meeting of the Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Association to night, a proposal was suh- i mitted on behalf of Mr F. Bryant, of Palmerston North, by Messrs Mellsop, Elliott and Co,, to exchange the present show grounds for 38£ acres of land fronting Feathers ton Street, and with a frontage to rascal Street, valued at £IO,OOO, and a payment of £BOOO, with the right for the Association to remove fencing, buildings, etc., to the new site.

After a long discussion it was resolved that the Association could not entertain the proposal.
