It offers a premium to political dishonesty and cowardice. It saps the manhood of our legislators, and destroys the individuality of the best of our people. It is traditional, and that is all. The march of education, and science, and enlightenment is, relegating tradition ■•* the realms of superstitions, and supplanting it with utilitarianism and modernism.
