THE GERMAN NAVY.

GABLE NEWS

Ui.ited Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.

HASTENING THE CONSTRUCTION OF CRUISERS.

Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock,

BERLIN, October 29.

The newspaper Berliner Tageblatt, interprets Admiral von Koester's speech at a German Navy League function, as foreshadowing the estimates and an amended annexe to the Navy Law, whereby two cruisers will be submitted for one annually. The maximum number of ships will be unaltered, but a group of three cruisers will be completed three years earlier than previously arranged. Germany will thus be given three instead of two capital ships annually, from 1912 to 1914 inclusive.
