WELLINGTON LAND BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Wellington Land Board, held on Thursday, was attended by Messrs J. McKenzie (Commissioner), J. Dawson, H. T. Ellingham, J. Georgetti, and W. MeLennan.
Transfers wore approved as under: —Section 27, Block 11', Mt. Cerberus, from Win. Holdern to W., J. W., and F. P. Holdern; Section ••!-, Block 1, Tirinmkawa S.D., from L. J. Thririeson to L. A. Cox; Section 11, Block XII, Mamigakaretu S.D., .1. W. Cm-ley to J. V. Gresson ; Section 30, Hastwell V.S., from A. Olson to J. S. Treader; Section 2G, Block- 11, Mt. Cerberus, from C. Marshall fnnr. to i. C. G. Giddens; Section 5, Block IV, Retaruke S.D., from R. Craig to G. H. Humphrys; Section 70, Block X, Mangaone S.D., from W. A. Citterdine to A. Wilson; Section 12, Block XVI, Hau tapu S.D., from G. ±*x. Guthrie to D. H. Gutln-ie junr.; Section 76, Block XVIII, Mangahao, Pahiatua V.S., from W. J. N. Uoton to W. H. Sub-leases approved: Section 70, Block IX, Hautapu S.D., from A. S. Collier to C. J. Follett; Section 84, Block I, Makuri S.D., (Mangaramaraina V.S.), from F. W. Newman to W. Davin. With reference to the transfer of Section 36, Block A.Y., Hautapu, from Mr R. W. Mitchell to Mr F. C. Pearson, junr., the Commissioner submitted notes of evidence take nat Mangaweka on October sth. The transfer was refused. The Commissioner commented upon the nature of the proceedings prior to the present application being lodged. In these strictures .lie was unanimously supported by the remaining members of the Board.
