WELLINGTON LAND BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Wellington Land Board, held on Thursday, was attended by Messrs J. McKenzie (Commissioner), J. Dawson, H. T. Ellingham, J. Georgetti, and W. MeLennan.

With reference to the transfer of Section 36, Block A.Y., Hautapu, from Mr R. W. Mitchell to Mr F. C. Pearson, junr., the Commissioner submitted notes of evidence take nat Mangaweka on October sth. The transfer was refused. The Commissioner commented upon the nature of the proceedings prior to the present application being lodged. In these strictures .lie was unanimously supported by the remaining members of the Board.
