COMMERCIAL.

Messrs Dalgoty and Co., Ltd., report having hold a very successful sale on account of Messrs Anderson Bros., on Monday, October 24th, 1910, when they offered a yarding comprising all classes of cattle that have never been yarded in this district. The entry comprised yearling steers, and heifers, 2-year steers and heifers, all off one station, and we are pleased to report that enquiries for the smaller lots was very keen, consequently we had practically a total clearance. Although the sale had been well advertised, the number of buyers wore small, and bidding was not as keen as anticipated. 1 Quotations are as follows:—Polled Angus yearling steers, to £4; P. A. 2-year heifers, ta £3 16s ; PA 2-year steers, to £4 lis; red Polled Cross steers, to £4 8s 6tl; 3-vear steel's, £4 8s 6d to £4 12s 6d; 2-ycar red Polled heifers, £3' 9s; two red Polled steers, £2 18s 6d, £3 7s Cd to £3 15s. Young cattle: Yearlings, £2 3s, £2 6s, £2 9s 6d to £2 14 s. Polled Angus steers (small) £2 14s. STOCK MARKET. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Masterton stock sale held on Tuesday, 25th inst., as follows:—We "yarded 200 head of cattle and a small yarding of sheep, and have to report a total clearance at the following prices:—• Fat shorn ewes, 10s 6d; yearling steers, £2 12s 6d to £2 15s; 2yr steers, £3 ss, £4 10s, £4 lis, £4 15s, to £4 ]Gs; 3yr steers, £5 to £5 12s Gd; 2.VJ- heifers, £4 lis 6d to £4 13s Gd; springing eosw, £6 17s 6d to £7; weaner pigs, 13s to 16s.
