AMUSEMENTS.
THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES,
The splendid series of pictures at present being shown at the Foresters' Hal), were witnessed by another large audience last evening. The two stirring military dramas, "The Common Enemy" and ".The Girl in the Barracks," again aroused ;he enthusiasm of those present. The changing scenes and incidents displayed in "The Warwicic Chronicle" were highly appreciated. The picture founded upon Charlotte Bronte's great domestic story, "Jane Eyre," tells in a most clear and concise manner the pathetic story of the drunken wife and forbearing husband. The comic subjects, "A Bolt from the Blue" and "The Butler's Revenge" are laughable skits upon the police force in the Old Country. "Tontolini as a Dancer" was responsible for a great deal of mirth. To-night, by request of several *ountry patrons, who have expressed their intention of being present, the Indian drama, "Ramona," will be revived for one night only. On' Thursday . a special anniversary programme wil be produced.
