Received This Morning, 12.30 o'clock BANGKOK, Oct. 23. Chulalongkoru 1., King of Siam, is dead.

(King Chulalongkoru was born in 1853, and was thus fifty-seven -years of age. He succeeded to the throne on October Ist, the dfegree of L.L.D., Cambridge, in 1907. The heir to the throne is Prince Chowfa Maha Vajiravudh, who is thirty years of age. The executive power in Siam is exercised by the King in conjunction with a Council of Ministers, most of whom are relatives of the King.)
