RECORD ENTRIES. Those responsible for organising the Wairarapa and E.G. P. and A. Society's Show, to be held at Carterton on Wednesday and Thursday next week, have reason to be proud of the success attending tbeir efforts. The total entries are easily a record, and when it is understood that quality will be equal' in all sections with quantity, farmers and visitors generally cannot fail to be interested ar.d profited by the display. The total entry is 1536, the'nearest approach to this being 1428 in 1908. Competitions this year number 164, a record, the nearest being 121, in 1907. Horses number 302, another record, the nearest being 257 in 1908.
Cattle are 211, a record, nearest approach 206 in 1901. Butter fat scompetitions 33, one more than last year. Sheep, 284, the record was"3lß in 1908.
