THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES. The change of pictures at the Foresters' Hall to-night promises to be something out of the ordinary. 'JLo those who have read Charlotte Bronte's great domestic story, "Jane Eyre,'' its presentation in pictorial form will be welcome. The pictorial story commences Jwith the picture of Chester's wife under the influence of drink, and her subsequent madness. Chester leaves home, but meets with an accident on the road, and Jane Eyre comes to his assistance, binds his wounds and sets him on hi's journey again. On his return he finds Jane installed as governess to his child. They fall in love, and Chester's declaration is interrputed by the tragic entrance of the demented wife. Then follows the great fire scene, suicide of the wife, and Chester blinded for life. Jane returns to England and marries Chester. Several other films are to be produced, but space will not permit a full review.
