Fletcher's team at Tauherenikau has been increased by the addition of Mataari and Splash. The firstnamed is doing satisfactory work on the tracks. | Donald Wilkinson has lately returned to Blenheim, where he expects to have a team together in the near future. The juvenile is said to be remarkably well grown, and one of the most handsome thoroughbreds seen out fpr some time. The most fancied candidates for the New Zealand Cup at present are Diabolb-, Bridge, Oiyoi, and Ingoda, and for the Stewards' Handcap, Provocation, Boanerges,, Penates, Madam Madcap, and Bliss. Bobrikotf, who was "in the boom" this time last year, for the New Zealand Cup, has been turned out for an extecded spell, and will tie not be seen out on the racing tracks again this year.
