THE NAVAL BASE.
NO OFFICIAL INFORMATION. Received Last Night, 10.55 o'clock. MELBOURNE, I.ast Night. In the House of Representatives, Ml- Hughes stated that the Government had received no authoritative notice of the intention of the Imperial Government to remove the naval base to Auckland. As soon as official information was received, immediate attention would be given to the matter with a view to safeguarding the interests of Australia.
