A SOLICITOR'S BANKRUPTCY.
The Appeal Court yesterday had before it a motion to strike off the rolls the name of J. J. Patterson, solicitor, of Dannevirke, on the ground that he was sentenced to two months' imprisonment for not keeping proper books, becoming bankrupt, and mutilating books relating to his affairs. The motion was opposed on the ground that there was no professional misconduct alleged, nor misappropriation of clients' money, and that a solicitor's business formed but a small part of his business. Decision was reserved.
