A NATIVE NURSING HOME.

The movement which has "been started in the Wairarapa in the direction of providing a Nursing nome for the Natives of the district, is one which should at once appeal to the sympathies of the people. The Natives themselves are displaying enthusiasm in the matter, and have already subscribed quite a substantial sum towards the project. An appeal is now to be made to the European section of the community, and there is little doubt that the response will be liberal and spontaneous. Any movement having for its object the preservation of a race so noble, so tractable, and so virile as the Maori, is deserving of support.
