THE PEOPLE'S PARK.

The desire of the Mayor and Councillors of Masterton. to institute a

"Park Day," when funds would be raised for beautifying the reserve and keeping it in decent order, is a

worthy one. The matter should be taken up by the whole of the athletic bodies of the district, as it is they who are specially interested in the proper maintenance of the Park. It is to be hoped that the hint given by the Mayor at last night's meeting will not be neglected.
