THE NEW SOUTH WALES FECHT, A FALSE REPORT. (Received Lust Night, 8.20 o'clock.-) SYDNEY, October 10.
In the No-license fight the statement has been circulated that the Police. Inspectors in New Zealand have adversely reported on Nolicense.
Vvith a view to rebutting this statement ,the New South Wales Alliance has obtained from the Hon. Dr. Findlay, Minister for Justice, a statement that, with one exception, the.whole of the Inspectors' reports substantially favour No-license from the point of view of law and order.
The Alliance has also obtained from the Mayors of Oamaru, Grey Lynn, and Christchurch strong rebuttals of the statement made by Mr. V. G. Day, S.M., at Timaru, that more temptation to drink existed in No-license districts, and that liquor was kept practically in every house.
