CRICKET.
ST. MATTHEW'S CLUB.
A meeting of members of St. Matthew's Cricket Club was held last evening, Mr C. Cole presiding' over a good attendance.
The ejection of officers resulted: —President, Vicar of the Parish; Vice-Presidents, Messrs Maunsell, W. H. Beetham, A. P. Whatman. J. L, Murray, W. T. Mansfield and Dr. W. H. Hosking; Secretary, Mr P. Bennett; Treasurer, Mr C. Cole; Management Committee, Messrs J. Berry, P. Wilkie, T. Feilding, F. Madsen, and 11. Moerscli. It was decided to enter two teams for the Saturday Junior Championship, and the annual subscription was fixed at ten shillings. Tfee Club's delegates to the Association were instructed to support the proposal to engage a groundsman to prepare all match wir.kets on the Park, providing the expense is not excessive. Messrs Feilding and Bennett were appointed to prepare an estimate of the material required for the coming season. Several new members were elected.
