MASTERTON STOCK SALE.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale in their Masterton yards yesterday, when only a fair yarding of both sheep and cattle came forward. We quote as follows: —Sheep—Mixed sex hoggets, to 14a lid. A line of 232 full-mouth ewes, with black face lambs at foot, sold at 15s sd. Cattle—Four year bullocks, to £6; 2-off steers, to £4 53; 18 months steers, to £2 ss; foiward cows, to £4 10s; 1 yearling bull, £4; 1 3-year gelding, £8 12s 6d.

Thfi New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report at their fortnightly stock sale at the Waipoua yards, Mastsrton, yesterday, the entries in sheep were confined to hoggets and wethers, and with a good market and' first-class stock we were enabled to make a clearance under the hammer. In cattle we offered stores, light beef and young cattle, all lots meeting with a ready sale at advanced rates. In pigs we offered weaners and porkers, all selling fully up to recent markets. The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-oper-ative Association, Ltd., and Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows:—We held our monthly sale of wool.- sheepskins and hides yesterday, when we offered 10 L bales and dumps wool, 50 bags wool, 3500 sheepskins, 50 hides, and 400 calfskins. There was a good attendance of buyers, who operated freely at present current rates, which are of a satisfactory nature. Wool—Offerings this time of the year ate small, but the oddments submitted realised the present market value. JOHNSONVILLE STOCK SALE. By Telegraph—Special to Age. JQHNSONViLLE, Last Night. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Lti, report on their Johnsonville sale as follows:—We offered a heavy ( yarding of prime sheep and cattle to a large attendance cf buyers. Cattle sold at ruling rates, but sheep were quite 2s per head easier, owing to the large number available in the country. Wequote:—Prime bullocks, £lO 2a 6d to £lO 15s; medium weights,£9 7s 6i to £9 15s; lighter, £8 7s 6d .to £8 17s 6d; prime wethers, 22s 6d to 245; lighter, 20s lOd; prime heavy ewes, 22s to 22s 6d; prime ewes, 19s 4d to 20s lOd; medium, 17s lid; lambs, 13a to 14s.
