. DEFECTIVE DRAINAGE fcYibfKM At the meeting of the' Wairarapa Hospital and Charitable Aid Board Mr D. Crewe asked what had been done in reference t'> the provision of a septic tank at the Masterton Hospital. He had visited the institution after the last meeting, and was satisfied that the present drainage svstem was unsatisfactory. Something should be done at once. Mr J. C. Ewington said'the Committee had recognised for some time that the present tank was unsatisfactory. He moved that Dr. Frengley be written to and his attention drawn to the condition of the tank, and that he be asked to report upon the method of improv iog it.. Mr T. Moss seconded tha resolu - tion. He agreed that tha improving of the drainage systsm was a matter of urgency. In answer to a question, the Secretary stated that the plans of the existing tank had been approved by the Heatlb Department. After some discussion, it was de cided, on the motion of Mr Ewinglon, that the attention of Che Inspec-tor-General of Hospitals be drawn to the condition of the drainage system at„the Hospital, and that he be asked to advise the Board as to what steps should oe taken to repair it.
