MISSION OF HELP.

The increased attendance at the services in connection with the Mis aion of Help shows thai the interest is increasing day by day, and the number of petitiona offered at the Service of Intercession shows that the message of the mission is taking root in rnsny hearts. There was the usual earlv celebration at 7.30 a.m. yesterday, which was well attended, followed.by the 10 o'clock service of Intercession, when the Missioner had ] to offer a largts number of new requests for prayer. At 3 o'clock the church was nearly filled by a large gathering of women. The Missioner took for his Uxl i Peter i-5, "Keep by the Power of God, through faith, unto Salvation." At 4.15 the usual bright servics. for the children was held, the Vicar being the speaker, and taking foi his subject, "There's a Crown for Little Children." At the evening service, in spite of the very rough night, there was a large congregation, a large percentage of. those present being men. The Missioner preached on the Gospel of Leprosy,*"dealing with the condition of ths leper, the cleansing of the leptr, and, the restoration of the leper, and showing the anology with' the condition of sin, the cleansing from sin and the restoration of the sinner. After the singing of the hymn, "There is Life for a look at ihe Crucified Une," the Missioner gave his second address, dealing with the difficulties of the historical trustworthiness of personality of Jesus Christ, also meeting the question of our Lord's divinity by the direct argument that Jesus Christ was what He claimed to be—the Son of God, or the greatest impostor the world ever saw. He then dealt with God's plan for man's salvation, pointing out that under tbe old dispensation there was a visible church, the door of admission into which was circumcision, and that equally under the new dispensation there was a visible church the door of admission into which was Holy Baptism, The arguments were closely reasoned, and we think we may eay thoroughly con« vincing. The services will be continued today—7 30 a.m., Holy Communion, 10 a.m. Morning Prayer and Intercession ; the last of the women's services will be held at 3 p.m.; children's service at 4.15; Mission Service at 7.45.
