BY A SPECIALIST
That the dandruff germ is respon- 3 siblo for nearly all the diseases to j which the scalp'is heir, as well as i for baldness and prematui;e grey hair, is a well-known fact, but when < wc realise that it is also indirectly j responsible for many of the worst cases of catarrh and consumption, we appreciate the importance of any accent that will destroy its power. | We are therefore particularly pleased to give herewith the prescription which an eminent scientist states lie lias found, after repeated | tests, to completely destroy the dandruff germ in from one to three applications. This prescription can he made at home, or any chemists will put it up for you: 8 ounces of Bay Rum, I ounce Lavona do Compose* 1 , £ dram Menthol Crystals. Mix thoroughly, and after standing half an hour it is ready for use. Apply ! night and morning, rubbing into the scalp with the finger tips. If you wish it perfumed, add half teaspoont'ul of French Fon Fleur perfume, which unites perfectly with the other ingredients. This preparation is not a dye, but is unequalled for promoting a growth of new hair, and for restoring gray hair to its original colour. Caution.—Do not apply where hair is not desired, and be sure to avoid ' tonics containing poisonous wood* t alcohol. 4
