COTTON MILLS CLOSE QUIETLY-
STRIKE FUNDS
Keceived October 3, 8.85 a.m. LONDON, October 2. Seven hundred mills have been closed quietly. The Prime Minister is continuing his attemp s to secure a settlement. The spinners have accumulated £500,000 sterling, and the carriruomers £200,000. The Federation Irades Councils will also contribute strike pay.
