SHIPBUILDING EMPLOYEES IDLE.
Received Last Night, 10.35 o'clock. LONDON, October 3. Fifty thousand shipbuilding employees are idle. While the negotiations for the settlement of the dead-lock have been proceeding, the weekly takings of Clyde shopkeepers have decreased by 70 per cent.
RAILWAY SERVANTS
UNAUTHORISED STRIKES.

LONDON, October 3
The report of the Amalgamated Railway Servants' Association states that strikes, without the Executive's authority, have been frequent of late. Unlets wiser counsels prevail, the advantages gained during generations of hardships will be destroyed.
