CRICKET.
RIVAL CLUB. The mcmbeis of the Rival Cricket Club held their annual meeting in the Dominion Hall last evening. Mr V. G. Darroch occupied the chair, and there was a good attendance. The secretary's report showed the receipts forthe year to be £6 10s 4d, inducing a doration of 10a frum Mr A. W. Buj?g. The expenditure totalled £4 9s 9d, leaving a credit balance of £2 0s 7d, The following aie the officers e ected for the ensuing year Patron, Mr A. W. Hogg; President, Mr S. Inder; Vice-Presidents, Messrs A. Henderson, J. L. Murray, E. R. B. Daniel, Dr. Prior snd A. P. Whatman; Captain, Mr W J, Jackson; ViceCaptain, Mr F. Phillips; Practice Captain, Mr P.. WilkieSecretary and Treasurer, Mr J. Berry; Selection Committee, Captain, Vice-Cap-tain and Secretary; General Committee, Messrs k. Williams, G. Barr, P. Wilkie, A. Dixon, Captain and Vice-Captain; Delegates tu Thursday Cricket Association. Messrs S. Hunter and J. Berry. Ten new members were elected. The CI jo has now a membership of twentyfour. The resignation of Mr J. Lamas was received with regret. The trjphies won during the year weie presented, Mr J. L. Murray's bat for be3t baiting average to Mr P. Houper, and Mr A. Henderson's rnedal for the best bowling average by Mr J. Berry. Votes of thanks to the Chairman, Secretary, and to Messrs Murray and Henaerson terminated the meeting.
