WAIRARAPA CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.
It is very much to be regretted that the Wairarapa Caledonian Society, during the past few years, should have encountered ill-fortune. The Society is one of the oldest institutions of its kind in the Dominion. Its nation al gathering has always maintained its prestige, whilst its sports meetings have had few .rivals. The ex-President says there is something "radically wrong." It is for the Directors to discover what that "something" is, and to set themselves diligently to work to repair it. Possibly if the programme were varied a little, and some fresh features introduced, the public would be more liberal in its support. Under no consideration must the Caledonian "games," with their pleasant associations, be allowed to become a thing of the past.
