MASTERTON TECHNICAL SCHOOL.
'lhe ordinary monthly meeting of Managers of the Masterton Technical School was held in the school buildings on Friday evening last. There were present Messrs E. Feist, in the chair, and E. H. Waddington. Apologies were received for the absence of Dean McKenna and Mr C. E. Daniell. The Treasurer reported a credit balance of £56 5s 2d. Correspondence was dealt with as follows: From Mr Quinnell, M.R. C.V.S., stating that he was just starting a course of lectures on veterinary science at the Wellington Technical School, and asking what prospect there was of successfully running a course in connection with the Master- < ton School. The secretary was instructed to make enquiries, and report to the next meeting. £ Mr , Parton's resignation as instructor to the plumbing class wa3 accepted with regret. Mr Wood's report on the work of the wool classe3 was received. Accounts amounting to "£lO 15s were passed for payment. The summary of the secretary's report on the second term was aa followe:—Number of pupils on the respective rolls, 275; average attendance, 205; free place holders, 140; tota?. fees for term, £46 2s 6d; ordinary capitation, £52 14s 3d; special capitation, i.e., free place holders, £32 25s 6d; total amount earned during term, £l3l 12a 3d. Salaries due, £lB4 14 5s 6d. On the motion of Mr Jackson, seconded by Mr Waddincjon, the report was adopted.
