Husband has been appointed secretary of the Woodville A. and P. Association. The friends of Mr and Mrs A. T. Hancock, of Tenui, will regret to hear of the death of their infant daughter, which occurred on Friday last. The name of Mrs A. J. Cooper, of Lansdowne, appears among the list of successful candidates at' the recent examination held in Palmerston North in connection with the Royal College and Royal Academy of Music, L.A.B. pianoforte test. The achievement of Mrs Cooper (who is a daughter of Mr W. F. Rciydliouse, of Carterton) is the more meritorious by reason of the fact that she was entirely self-taught.
