MASTERTON HOMING CLUB.

RACE FROM TAIHAPE. The 1910-11 season of the Masterton Horning Pigeon Club was opened on Saturday, when an interval race from Taihape was flown. The birds were liberated by Mr D. Parton, formerly of Masterton, the first bird being let go at 10.30 a.m. As the weather was rough the birds did not put up good times. The results were:— Mr W. Hoar's Goldie, time 31irs 15min, velocity 711 yds 1 Mr E. Flannagan's Flitaway, time 3hrs 17niin, velocity 714 yds 2 Mr R. Person's Mystify, time 3 hrs 35min, velocitj* 647 yds 3
