MASTERTON MEDICO SEVERELY BURNED.

A a alarm of fire was sounded on he Masterton firebell at 8.50 o'clock on Saturday night, and he Brigade and Fire Police were quickly at Reardon's motor garage, in Chapel Street, where there was a big flare, ft appears that Dr. Cook, with a light in hi hand, was engaged filling a tin with benzine, when the latter took fire and an explosion occurred. The doctor was severely burned about the hand and arms, and a motor-car and outer door of the garage were scorched. The flames were speedily subdued, and it is fortunate that more serious damage ditl not occur.
