A NEEDED CONNECTION.
| With the opening of the new fire t station in Queen Street, Masterton, the question arises of the position of a large section of the town west of the centre in the event of fire. The necessity for a mid-way, connection is more imperative since the- erection of the new fire station. The cost of making the connection will be considerable, but the Borough Council might be disposed to apply the betterment principle to some of the properties which will be affected. i
