RADIUM AND CANCER.
The nieiriber for Wellington South has given notice to ask the Minister for Public Health if he is- 'aware that certain cases of cancer have been cured in Sydney, by means of radium treatment? Possibly JJie member
in question is not aware that radium has been successfully used in New Zealand for months past. Dr. ' W. H. Hosking, of Masterton, procured a supply of radium over twelve months ago, and has operated with it upon a number of patients suffering from external cancer. The doctor claims that in every case a permanent cure has been effected. The patients have come to Masterton from all parts of New Zealand.
