REGISTERING WOOL BRANDS.

Mr G. R. Sykes deserves the thanks of the farticling community of New Zealand for haying demonstrated, almost beyond shadow of doubt, that there exists in New Zealand a system of "fraud" in the handling of wool by unscrupulous dealers. To ' stuff bales. of wool with an inferior article, and offer these for sale, ass is being done, as the product of a well-known clip, is to perpetrate a fraud upon the Home buyer and an injury upon the producer which should not be tolerated. The only apparent way in which protection can be secured against fraudulent; dealers is to introduce legislation which will enable owners to register, their brands.
