MASTERTON PERMANENT INVESTMENT AND BUILDING SOCIETY.
THIRTY-FOURTH ANNUAL REPORT.
The thirty-fourtn annual report of the Masterton Permanent Investment and Building Society, to be presented to the shareholders at the annual meeting on Monday, October 3rd, is as follows: —The Directors - have pleasure in reporting that, while conditions have not been favourable to large profits, the business of the Society has been fairly maintained during the year, and its affairs continue in a sound and satisfactory position. The dividend represents 7.32 per cent on the capital employed as against 7.17 per cent, .for the previous year. In referring to the death of the late Mr Joseph Payton, one of the oldest and most respected members of the Board, the Directors desire to record their appreciation of his valuable services to the Society. The retiring Directors are Messrs A. R. Bunny and James Elliott, both of whom are. eligible for re-election, and it will be necessary to> elect another Dir-
ector in place of the late Mr Payton 1 Messrs W. B. Chennells and W. E. t Chamberlain have been nominated
