EGGS BY WEIGHT.
Almost every head of a household isimpressed'with the -fairness o the system under which eggs retailed. It is as unfair to he con sumer, on the one hand, as to t£ producer on the other. A house Sife who buys a do«n Wff th™ ir,g 24ozs. is surely better off than ths one who buys a dozen sav onlv 16osss. And yet, under S'peculiar systom of trying the same price is paid for the light Stas for the heavy-weight egg. In these days of strenuous economy people are not disposed to pay for something they do not receive, and they have a right to expect that eggs be sold by weight in the same way as potatoes, sausages, and other articles of common diet. Jfossibly if the vrHous Chambers of Commerce were,to take the matter in hand they would bring about a change.
