WELLINGTON WOOL, SKIN AND HIDES SALES.

Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd, Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows regarding Friday's sales: — Woll.—Sold generally on a par with recent prices, with crutchings in better demand. Quotations:— Crossbred, 6£d to Bsd; lambs wool, 6£d to 8d; pieces and bellies, 4d to 5Jd; locks > 2 * d to 4 * d; doad w ° o1 ' 6|d to 73d; crutchings 4d to 6d. Skins.—Dry skins sold well at last sale rates, while green skins were in good, demand at better prices. Quotations:— Fine crossbreds, 8d to Bsd; medium crossbreds 7d to B|d; coarse crossbreds, 6d to 7fd; dead hoggets, 5d to 6Jd; lambskins, si|d to 8d; quarter to lialf wools, 4Jd to 6Jd; dry pelts, 2Jd to s£d; green skins, 5s 8d to 9s sd; lamb skins, 2s 6d to 4s lid. Tallow.—Was very firm. Parcels tin shipping order, £2B 10s; tins £2O to £24 ss; rough fat £lO to £l9 ss. Horsehair.—ls to Is 8d per lb. Horns.—ss to 19s per hundred.

Cowtails.—ls 5d per dozen. Hides.—Ox hides in fair demand sold at current rates, while cowhides showed an advance of gd per lb. . Calfskins were firm at last sale's prices. Quotations:—Ox hides (heavy), to 7gd; (medium) 6±d to 6?-d; (light), sjfd to G|d; cow hides, 5-£ dto 6g-d; cut and slippy hides, 3d to 6J-d; stag hides, 4d to bull hides, 4A to sgdj. yearlings, 5d to G§d'; calf, best 9d to 9-J-d; medium, 7-J-d to 81 d; cut and slippy, 5d to 7d.
