N.Z. DAIRY ASSOCIATION.
MARKETING THIS YEAR'S OUTPUT..
Mr A. McFarlane, chairman of the Natiional Dairy Association, informed at the Pabiatua Herald on Saturday that the recent meeting in Palmerston of members of the association was attended by twenty-six directora of companies representing thirty two factories, whose approximate output last season was 450 tons of butter and 3000 tons of cheese. The question of marketing the new season's output was discussed at considerable length, and it was decided to consign only to four Home houses instead of about twenty-five as heretofore. It was considered that this arrangement would prove mere satisfactory as the market • could be better controlled, by a small number than by a large one, and would result in greater stability of price?, while effecting a abstantiai saving in tlie working i xpenses of the association. Since flu; meeting the Norsewood Company and the Black Proprietary, both in Hawke's Bay, have joined the association.
