The same buyer recsntly affected of Lady Fisher, dam of Maniapotu. War. Song and Kohinoor, a likely pair of three-year-olds, are doing good work at Napier Park. Cullinan. a N.Z. tup candidate, is giving satistaction in the tasks so far set fciin. At Hastings California is still striding along in fine style, admirers there are hoping he will be among the starters in the big event at Riccar'con on November sth. Mr Middleton Melrose intends sending some of hia horses over to j Australia for sale. Lord Kelvin will remain at Trentham to be prepared for his classic engagements. Judging by the Frisco is being treated by handicappers, his form at Levin last week must have been much above the ordinary. The fact must not, however, be overlooked that if he goes to Riccarton ' for the November racing there will be a better class of horses to meet. Kaipara, winner,of races at Hunt Club meetings at Wanganui and Taranaki recently, is a pony by St. Paul. He is said to be fast, and jumps big obstacles in fine style.
