MANAWATU A. AND P. SHOW.

Ladies will find quite a number of classes of special interest in the horse division provided in the prize list of the Manawatu Show—these classes are exclusively] for them—and the arrangements for those competing are such as to make the occasion a very enjoyable one. For a pony turnout, to be driven by a lady, af£s teagand coffee service is offered for first prize, a case of fruit and hah knives £2 10s for second. There is a hunters* competition with prizes £ls, and classes 1 for side saddle and divided skirt are separately provided with £6 in prizes. The ladies' driving class, oyer a iaid out course, is provided with £lO, and best hack, to be rid-1 den by a lady, £lO. Two new features should certainly prove popular innovations—the first is a class for lady's and gentlemen's hack, to be' ridden together, and judged as a pair; the second is a class called musical stalls, played by riders on horses on the same principle as musical chairs. Tha fun in this will, of course, be in competitors entering in pairs and the gentleman contriving to assist the lady to win. Full details of these

classes can be obtained on referring to the show prize list, available on application at the Association's office.
