MEETING OF BOARD.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CKRISTCHURCH, Last Night. The first meeting of the newlyelected Board of the New Zealand Trotting Association was held this afternoon. The election of officers for the year resulted as follows':—President, Mr P. Selig; vice-president, Mr A. L. Myers; hon. treasurer, Mr T. L. Myers; licensing' committee, Messrs W. G. Garrard and A. L. Myers; rolours committee, Messrs R. O. Duncan, H. F. Nicoll and W. G Garrard; appeal committee, the President and Mr R. 0. Duncan.; foreign horse committee, Messrs W. G. Garrard and W. Hay ward; examiner of foreign horses in Christchurch, MrW. G. Garrard; auditor, Mr C. J. Marshall.

The position to be taken up by the Association in view of the proposed gaming legislation was discussed, and it was decided that the President and Secretary should represent the Association, to give evidence before the Bills Committee.

It was agreed to register the Manawatu Trotting Club, with headquarters at Paimerston North.
