WELLINGTON, Last Night.

Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast are as follows:—The barometer has fallen everywhere, and strong easterly winds, with unsettled weather, have prevailed northward of Kawhia and Napier, and northerly moderate to strong elsewhere, wjth fair weather.

Present indications are for a further fall in the barometer everywhere. Strong easterly winds will probably prevail northward of Kawhia an J Napier, and freshening northerlies elsewhere. The weather will probably change shortly in the sooth, increasing haziness preceding more unsettled weather generally.
