Mr Roigard, of Maurieeville West, has purchased the property and bakery business of Mr W. Fisher, of this town. We wish the new proprietor success in bis undertaking, and trust that he will meet with the support that he deserves. At a meeting of the Cricket Club, held on Friday night in the Lib* rary room, arrangements were made for the forthcoming season. Subs are coming in freely, and to further swell the tunds ot tbe Club, it was decided to play a match at the latter end of this month, East v. West, to be folowed by a dance in the West schoolroom. Mr C, Mascelle has promised a silver medal for the player who mpkes the best bowling average and Mr 1. T. Hi Has a bat for the best batting average. I have received tbe prize list cf the Manawatu and West Coast Agricultural and Pastoral Association for the annua! summer show to be held in November. The catalogue is up to the usual standard of excellence, and judging from trie numerous and varied list of crizea offered, a very large number of entries and a successful show should be the result. The school closed on Frid.iy for a week, the second term holidays.
