A BIG SCHEME.
TO RUN OCEAN LINERS. BETWEEN ENGLAND AND RIVER PLATE. (Received Last Night, 10.5 o'clock.) LONDON, September 2. Several ship-owning companies in Great Britain are considering a joint scheme to build ten liners, at a cost of £2,000,000. Five of these will run as highclass passenger boats between Liverpool and River Plate, in conjunction witli the existing line, and the other five will he of a refrigerating type, of high speed, and will run between London and River Plate.
