In the House of Representatives this afternoon, the Prime Minister made the following statement of the revenue of the Dominion for the five months ending August, 1910, compared with the corresponding five months of 1909:

Customs, 1910, £1,16,852; 1909, £993,547; increase £153,305. Post and Telegraphs, 1910, £78,150; 1909, £69,115; increase £9035, Land and Income, 1910, £26,231; 1909, £24,263; increase £1968. Beer Duty, 1910, £41,927; 1909, £41.1134; increase £793. Rairwavs. 1910, £l,269,231; 1909, £1,169,808; increase £99,423. Registration Fees, etc., ! 1910, £27,720; 1909, £32,811; decrease £3091. Marine, 1910, £16,743; 1909, £16,694; increase £49. Miscellaneous, 191U, £118,771; 1909, £113,069; increase £5702. Territoria 1 1910, £87,182; 1909, £66.455; increase £20,727. The net increase for the five months of the year is £369,789.
