AMATEUR ATHLETICS.

Masterton at one time boasted a very live a-nd popular Amateur Athletic Club. For reasons which need not here be discussed, the institution died. An attempt is now being made to revive interest in this form of sport, and it is to be hoped that our athletes will show by their attendance at next Wednesday's meeting that there is room for such an institution in our midst. It only requires enthusiasm and devotion to the cause, to restore athletics to the place they should occupy in the world of Wairarapa sport.
