"WE REPEAT."
We repeat that "irrelevant discussion and captious criticism" are being employed to damage the prospects of the Masterton drainage poll. The Mayor and Councillors have dealt in an honourable, straight-forward manner with the ratepayers. They have been guilty of neither equivocation nor mental reservation. The ratepayers, in their turn, have confidence in the Mayor and the Council, and will demonstrate their confidence at the poll on Thursday next.
