Received Last Night, 9 o'clock. LONDON, Auguts 31.

The Times, commenting upon the declaration of peace in Nicaragua, dwells upon the importance of the Washington Convention. By this it says the Central American Republics are pledged to non-interference in their nsighbours' troubles. Formerly, the inevitable sequel to disturbancas in one State was the embroilment of all. The'paper adds that the policy of Mr Knox has triumphed, and the disturbances have been confined to the bounds of Nicaragua by a strong display of force.
