Mr J. W. Henderson has been appointed rarger , for - Jtbe Featnerston | County and Jbeatheratpn. Town District. ~.,.,' A social in connection with the Liberal Football Club is to be held during the month of September. Mr George Sadler has returned to Featherston after a long trip to Honolulu, Vancouver, Canada and England. The Fira Brigade toas made all arrangements for the social it intends holding in the Town Hall on Thursday evening. The proceeds are to be devoted to the building funo*. The local Literary and Debating Society has decided, by » m ijority of four votes, that a Munarchy is preferable to a Kepub ic. Being all loyal subjects, we are very pleased with the decision.
