THE HOCKEY SELECTION.
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —1 am socry to again troubla you over matter. Air Ivetoa is s ii! on tie wicng track. I was quite a are whe.-i I wrote my last that he baii h'xed v e uulLorship on to the Kiwih' iadi.s' coich, Mr S. Morgan. 1 am iv t Mr I°. Morgan, and I wi.h to il.ar iiim ui all blame in this ma - te r . I ur.derstai d Mr Bann/n also passed a remark to'thj elf .ci that he knaw Who was respontiil , and named Messrs H. V. A, J. Fisht r, tntj S. Morgan. 1 would like Mr Bannni to know that he is i-lso out cf the swim. Never b. fore have the vVairarapa lac'ics Lten so unfcrtinate in thtir choice of selectors, 'Hia firal team selicted to make the trip to Nelson is, indeed, a monument; to their ability to judge piaver?. Although I may not b<3 interested in any club, I wish t:> put the matter
fairly before the public. The Kiwis, coming third in champion honours, end havirg in expert; op nions, player 3 who are second to non.a in their ranks, have only one selected. Why does Mr Iveson eo suddenly pick on to Kiwis' coach as "Interefcttd."As far as I am concerned, where I was once interested I am now disgusted, and if Mr Iveson and Mr Bannin go on guessing till Doomsday they can, for I am done with it. If anything can be done in the matter of improving the team, it is for the players themselves to suggest it. Where Wairarapa could have put a strong team in the field they have now a weak ona. I am sorry I was unable to reply until to-day, as I have been out back. Thanking you for having published my letters, I am etc.,
INTERESTED.
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—lt having come to my knowledge from several sourcca that I am getting credit for writing "la* terested's" letters, I publicly deny writing them. In Mr Iveaon's letter uf Wednesday last he refers to ''lnterested" as a person who may have been on a previous selection com raittee. I may state that last year 1 was on a selection committee in conjunction with Mr Iveson and Mr Balfour. In to-day's letter he states
it was neither Mr King nor any Kia Toa supporters, so I take it that he cannot possibly refer' to anyone other than myself. He says that perhaps I had longing eyes on the committee itself. I may tell him that I should be exceedingly sorry to have been one to help select such a team as is at present held up as Wairarapa's best.—Thanking you for your valuable space, I am, etc.,
STAN MORGAN.
